VOLTA Fair during Art Basel 2019
Booth with Galerie Wenger (Zurich, Switzerland)
The work for this booth was created both in my studio in Los Angeles and a studio in Switzerland provided by Galerie Wenger. The mural was painted by hand on vellum in LA, while panels were created in Zurich to the exact dimensions of the booth at the fair. The small individual pieces were painted in my studio as well and final touches were finished in Zurich. For a week before the fair, I worked to mount the mural to the custom boards and varnished and installed cleats on the small pieces. This project required logistical and creative solutions to make an immersive both at the fair that didn’t require relocating my studio for an extended period of time.
